Fortuna's ZABENE carries top weight in Invercargill Gold Cup Saturday 18th February
Eight year old ZABENE( Zabeel-Emerald Dream) heads the handicaps in the 2012 running of the Southland Times Invercargill Gold Cup on Saturday. ZABENE ran a bold race for 3rd in a stop/start Dunedin Gold Cup on February 4th and has trained on well since, reports Fortuna Director, John Galvin. " The horse is in great shape, he galloped nicely at Rangiora Thursday morning and being the dead set stayer he is, will be very well suited by the 2550 metre distance on Saturday." ZABENE will be ridden by the very experienced Jamie Bullard.
