Acquired at the recent READY TO RUN SALE, this Gelding is a magnificent staying type. He has already been broken in and had his first preparation and ran his 200 metre pre sale breeze up in 10.6 secs, so can certainly gallop. The ZABEEL influence is very apparent in this Gelding; he has size, scope and a true stayer’s conformation.
The Dam, Giuliana, is owned by Sir Patrick Hogan and although unraced herself, both of her foals to race to date have won in Australia.
This is the family of the great Denise’s Joy, Sunday Joy, Tuesday Joy and top Sydney galloper, More Joyous, a 14 time winner. Joe Walls, premier auctioneer and Chairman of NZ Bloodstock says “this is the best pedigreed family in Australasia.”

This LUCKY UNICORN-GIULIANA Gelding will be trained by Jason Bridgman of TE AKAU RACING, which has its NZ based operation in Matamata and Rangiora. Jason Bridgman is in the top echelon of NZ trainers and TE AKAU RACING now also has a highly successful international arm in Singapore, headed up by five time Champion NZ Trainer, Mark Walker.
This Gelding will be professionally managed by John Galvin of Fortuna Ltd - Authorised Syndicators. He is to be syndicated into 20 shares (5% per share) at $8,300 per share. A 10% share is $16,600 and we will also do 2.5% shares at $4,150. The initial share price covers ALL initial costs including sale price, GST, fees, insurance to 31st January 2013 and working capital.
Ongoing costs which will cover ALL racing expenses are $280 per month per 10% share and $140 per month per 5% share and $70 per month per 2.5% share, commencing 20th December 2011. There are no other costs.
