Pedigree
Featuring a great pedigree page – by a Golden Slipper winning stallion in PIERRO (himself a son of the mighty Lonhro) who won 11 races in his illustrious career (6 as a 2yo) and out of a More Than Ready Mare, who was out of a Fastnet Rock Mare, who was out of a Zabeel Mare, this is a pedigree page with incredible depth. PIERRO is the Sire of 544 winners with 40 Stakes Winners, including 6 individual Group One winners. The dam, Angel Helena, won twice in Australia, but is a half sister to the Group One winning (NZ 1000 Guineas) and 2011/12 NZ Filly Of The Year, Planet Rock. Also featuring in the pedigree is the eight time winning galloper, Ringo (Fastnet Rock) who was an extremely tough handicapper in his day
Preparation Plans
Plans for this Filly will be to bring her back to NZ, give her a nice spell, break her in during the Autumn, then a first prep at the Matamata Stables, assess and work out a racing plan from there. Not eligible for the Karaka Millions races of course, but the Group One 1000 Guineas at Riccarton in Nov 2027 would be a very logical target for her as a 3yo and the Black Type races in the Autumn of her 2yo year also present nice initial targets for her

John and Team, well done on a great buy with this beautifully bred, athletic Filly – We certainly thought we would have to pay a lot more than we did and were prepared to do so. She has an outstanding pedigree page being Sired by a Golden Slipper winner and who has sired six Group One winners himself and out of a More Than Ready mare – More Than Ready was one of the most successful stallions in the history world racing. We know the family well – the 2nd Dam, Planet Rock, by Fastnet Rock, won the 1000 Guineas at Riccarton and the Eight Carat Classic at Ellerslie and was the NZB Filly of The Year in 2012, the third dam was by Zabeel, so you just can’t get better bloodlines than that – physically, she is just a beautiful moving Filly with a great attitude – Pierro was a champion race horses and he’s been a very successful Stallion at Stud – his Group One winning daughter, Arcadia Queen was a racemare whom I admired greatly and this Filly reminded us so much of Acadia Queen – our veterinary passed her with colours flying and we’re very excited to be having her at Matamata in our training stable

Paperwork is still being finalised but all up this Filly will be syndicated for a total of $180k, this includes cost of horse, NZ GST on entry to NZ, Promoters Fees, Freight to NZ, Magic Millions Series Fee, Insurance to 31 Jan 2027 and $11k of working capital – shares available right down to 1%
